asked 06/27/24Task Management programs
Hello I am reading out to you with a little bit of desperation. I am in sales and I want to set up some of the MS 365 tools to create automatons IE; task tracking reminders, project management...
My employer has no one that can help me set this and I am a month in trying to teach myself with frustrating results. Our MS Admin apparently has not spent much time in the productivity areas and so can't help me. I have looked everywhere I can think of and I just can not find someone who specializes in MS 365 to this level.
Specifically, I want to create some kind of digital peg board or wall board that will display my open projects and their status with next steps. I also need to be able to track things over time, like a contract renewal for instance. I would call it a dashboard, but those don't really get at what I am hoping for help getting built.

Here’s how we can proceed:
- Digital Peg Board/Wall Board:
- We can create a SharePoint site with a modern page layout that includes web parts for project tracking and status updates.
- Use PowerApps to develop a customized app that allows you to input and display project details dynamically.
- Integrate Microsoft Planner or To-Do for task management and visualization.
- Task Tracking and Reminders:
- Set up automated workflows using Power Automate to send reminders for task deadlines, contract renewals, and other important dates.
- Utilize Microsoft Lists to create a custom list for contract renewals and other time-sensitive tasks, with built-in reminders and alerts.
- Project Management:
- Leverage Microsoft Project or Planner to manage and track your projects.
- Integrate these tools with Teams for seamless communication and collaboration with your team.
