If you are interested in learning more about your sewing machine, its capabilities, and your potential to create clothing items tailored to your own amazing shape (plus so much more!) then I would love to help you take those first steps. When you are learning to sew, you are also learning more about the features and functionality of fabrics. Likewise, you are learning about the basics of the machinery that is going to help you construct clothing and apparel that YOU have decided to make...you should know the parts of your machine, their functionality, and how to determine if something is not working properly.
Let's face it, sewing is very much like engineering. We know that not all fabrics would look amazing on the models that walk the runways of Milan. That said, not all fabrics are made for the runway; fabrics often serve a specific purpose, which is frequently determined by where and when they are used. When you make a garment, a pillow, or reupholster your favorite chair, you are engineering the process needed to get you the result you desire. Sewing, like engineering is a creative process that provides you with the opportunity to make decisions about the work you intend to do. If you are interested in learning about the capabilities of your sewing machine and stretching your own creative abilities, then we should get started.
