The BEST HomeSchool Sewing Lessons EVER!
Hi there,
I believe you will pay $90.00 for 3 yards of fabric. 1/8 of a yard is 4.5" - $3.75. 1 yard is 36". Divide the 36" by 4.5" and it gives you 8. Which means you can get 8ea - 1/8 yard cuts out of 1 yard of fabric. So that is to say, $3.75 x 8 = $30 for 1 yard
The cost of 1 yard of fabric using the $3.75 for 1/8 formula gives you $30.00 per yard. So, if you want 3 yards of fabric then you would pay $30.00 x 3 = $90.00 plus applicable sales tax and shipping charges.
Hope that helps!
