What are two goals that you currently have for yourself as you work to learn how to operate a sewing machine and begin sewing for yourself?

As a new student of sewing and tailoring, you should be familiar with the basic working parts of your sewing machine. Your machine should be simple enough and possess the basic features needed to construct the items that you are interested in constructing.

Additionally, you should have at least a general idea of what you want to learn how to make. What I mean is, you should know if you are interested in building items for your own personal wardrobe, or if you are interested in making things for others or even perhaps for your home. Select something that is relatively simple, yet interesting to you. Doing this will keep you motivated to finish what you start so that you can enjoy it and take pride in a job well done.
