Supplementary angles add up to 180
The equation would be m<c+m<D=180
4x+9+8x+3=180
So will combine like terms first
12x+12=180-next subtract by 12
-12 -12
12x=168-finally divide by 12 to get x
/12 /12
x=14- Will substitute this value back into expressions to find angle c and d
m<c=4x+9=4(14)+9=56+9=65 degrees
m<d=8x+3=8(14)+3=112+3=115 degrees
These are correct because 115+65=180 total
