Be careful in how you read this expression...
 
3 less than 1/4 of the product of [(8/3)(9)]--remember PEMDAS as well..
We're looking for 1/4 of the product of multiplying 8/3 times 9 which means we will multiply 8/3 and 9 and divide that answer by 4 
When we find 1/4 of 8/3 times 9, then we subtract 3 from that...
