A Dedicated Person Who Helps Other to progress
The approach should be to create a task (set up branch), then create a sub task for every step (even small ones). Then you should estimate the time that each task and subtask REALLY takes... the more detail your breakdown, the better your estimate will be. You would also need to establish the relationship between the subtasks...to include whether they have to be done in sequence, or whether some can be done in parallel. Can more than one person do a subtask to cut the time required?, If you want to FORCE it to be completed in one day, you'll need to assign people (resource) to the subtasks, assign their availability (8 hrs of productive work time??)... and be prepared to add people, if MSP shows that the whole task will take longer than 8hrs.
