Short answer: you could see results right away (if you follow the right tips), and surrender to the process.
See... expectations (especially the ones we are worried about not meeting, or too AFRAID to not meet) might cause tension and stress, and this could hijack your whole process.
I've watched students be able to witness their own results in a matter of minutes, and I've also watch some of those same students come back the next class bummed because they "forgot" how to do it. This created the illusion of regression instead of progression...
Despair not! Here are a few TIPS TO SEE FASTER RESULTS!
- Practice OFTEN, not longer.
- Seek to understand the concepts you apply, and also, seek to practice and become ever more aware of your own body as you learn how to use it, or "play it" (as the instrument it is) properly.
- Take care of ONE thing at a time. One area of singing, one technique... ONE. You might be working on breath, OR lyrics, OR a particular technique, OR become aware of your soft palate... but NEVER all of them at once.
- Surrender to the process. Meaning: "Let the performer side of your mind do it's job; and surrender the judger side of your mind to your coach, or DELAY it."
I explain each of these tips in the video, but if you need more info, or would like to book a class with me, don't hesitate to send me a message. I'm more than happy to be part of your journey into becoming the best singer you have ever been!
See you around,
