The normal pH range for saliva is 6.2 to 7.6.
Eating cherries will lower the ph to 3.2 to 4.0.
If you eat them all in one sitting, it's not a problem. Since your saliva will buffer the ph and bring it back to normal in the next hour. However, eating cherries throughout the day may cause decalcification of teeth due to long time staying below the desired ph, which is what you call caries/ cavities.
