How did the different types of teeth get their names?

Its very easy. You use your front teeth to cut into things and hence they are called incisors. The back teeth have a marble/ millstone like appearance on the chewing surface and hence are called molars. The premolars just fall before the molars and hence the name. Canines are called so due to their resemblance to dog phangs.
