Brittany,
A. By definition multiple use management of forest land conserves the natural properties of land but allows its use for drinking water, timber, wild-life foraging and recreation. In contrast, wilderness area does not have to produce timber etc.
B. Increasing wilderness areas on public lands is definitely good for environment but it might have negative effect on economy due to reduction in production of timber, restriction on tourism. That is the main point, you can expand it with right arguments based on available evidence in environmental reports, reports on economic development etc.
Hope it helps.
