Any advice in regards to Marcel Irons?

I'm in Cosmo school right now, and we're on the hairstyling unit right now. For some reason, no matter how much I practice, I can't get the hang of the clicking and rolling at the same time. It makes me sad that I don't know how to do it, and everyone else does. If anyone has more advice they can on it, I'd really appreciate it.

Practice the hand movements with out the iron on or plugged up and use wigs to practice on also
