What supplies do I need to buy before school starts? (Specifically Paul Mitchell.)

I start school on the 28th. I know most of what we will be doing on the iPad. Do I need a planner? Binder? Notebook? Paper? Pens or pencils? Backpack? I’ve already got my black wardrobe and black shoes. This is probably the dumbest question ever! But it’s been almost 10 years since I’ve been in school and I feel a bit lost. Which of these items did you use? Also another dumb question, how soon do we get our kits? The only reason I want to know is because my twins put my round brush in the toilet and I had to throw it away, and I don’t want to buy another one if I’m going to get my kit as soon as I start. But if it’s going to be a while, I need one before then. Gotta keep my blowout game strong.

In general, you may want to get a set of colored pencils with erasers, pens and pencils, a notepad and post-its. However, most schools now provide an iPad, and much of the work is done on the iPad. I would recommend getting extra chargers and charging cables, specifically extra long charging cables. Apple Pencils that are compatible with the software will also be important and are not provided. An iPad case with a keyboard can also be handy when filling out worksheets and forms and for note taking in class.

Be prepared for the dress code, as well. It is black-on-black-on-black, so be sure to have really comfortable black, closed toe shoes that you can stand in for several hours at a time, plenty of black clothing that you don't mind getting color or stains on, and an extra shirt to keep in your locker just in case.

I also always recommend having black sharpies on hand, as well as colored duct tape so that you can mark your tools with your name, and you can use the black sharpies if you get a bleach or color stain on clothing and need to fill it in.

Depending on locker set yo you may need a lock. Each school has different set up. Each school has set schedule for kit distribution.
