Tips for formulating red hair properly?

Hey guys I’m looking for advice on formulating red hair. Im having someone come in with light brown hair looking to go a natural red color similar to Drew Barrymore back in the day. I’m thinking of bleach washing and then using Paul mitchel color any suggestions on formula?

Stay away from the bleach it only damages the hair! If the hair doesn't have color pulled throughout the hair then choose the correct amount of lift needed. Ex. 2 levels of lift, 20 vol. I personally wouldn't use Paul Mitchell. I would use a better color line like Redken, Goldwell, Loreal, Wella. It should be able to lift easily.
