Doing hair and makeup with shaky hands?

Hey everyone! I'm currently in cosmo school and I love it. But I have a neurological disorder (essential tremor disorder) that causes my hands and head to shake all the time. It makes certain things like makeup, lash extensions, and clipper over comb seem almost impossible. And the more nervous I get about it, the worse it gets. My primary interest is color, which I can do just fine, but of course in school I still have to do it all. Does anyone else have this problem? What are things you do to help? Any advice is welcome! Thank you!

When you present with a disability as severe as Tremors, Hairdressing is probably not the safest occupation to be in for you or the client's safety.

However, since you really like hairdressing and especially coloring hair, I would recommend you sit at the client's shoulder levels when doing a service such as color or even cutting hair, conditioning, etc. That way you are more able to control your movements from trembling; by being up against the client's salon chair and therefore making fewer unnecessary movements.
