Harry has an activity book. He pastes small square shaped stickers in a square space provided for stickers in the box with sides of X inches as shown. Each sticker has an area of 1/4 of a inch.
**please note it shows a picture of a 1/2 inch square
we are to write this as a expression

My best guess from what you have provided in the question is:
Area of square to place sticker = (1/2 Inch) by (1/2 Inch) = 0.25 Square Inches
Area of sticker to place = (1/4 Inch) by (1/4 Inch) = 0.0625 Square Inches

Total Area after 1 sticker is placed = 0.25 - 0.0625 = 0.1875 Square Inches
