Hi, languages evolve over time that may be howe the languages divulged. If you are living in Galicia I would suggest learning Galician. If you are living in a Portuguese speaking country I would suggest learning Portuguese. However if you want to learn one just for fun, you should pick the one you think that you would enjoy the most.
