Nurse Practitioner Assistance w/ Courses, Test Prep, Application
If you are speaking of the physician (MD, DO, etc) type of doctor, one would need to obtain a Bachelor degree in something (usually a practical or applied science), then apply for and attend medical school.
If you are speaking of a doctoral degree in Nursing (PhD, DNP, etc), one would again need to first obtain a Bachelor degree in Nursing, then proceed on through Masters/Doctoral coursework, or apply straight through to a Doctoral Nursing program.
