Experienced Nursing Educator
It depends on your career goals and interests. Both professions have a similar employment outlook and starting salaries. Medical assistants more often work in an office setting and help with tasks like patient intake, medication administration, and assisting in in-house procedures. Licensed practical nurses (LPNs) may work in physician offices, long term care, community, or hospital settings. Like most nursing professions, LPNs focus on delivering holistic care to patients. LPNs also have more opportunities to advance their career through addition education, unlike medical assistants. LPNs may choose to continue their education to become a registered nurse (RN) or a nurse practitioner.
