Plug 12 in for x.
Your lengths are:

x = 12 cm
x - 3 = 12 - 3 = 9 cm
0.5x + 15 = 0.5(12) + 15 = 6 + 15 = 21 cm
2x = 2(12) = 24 cm

Longest side is 24 cm
