Maximizing the yield

An orange grove plants 20 trees per acre and gets a yield of 116 bushels of oranges per tree. For each additional tree planted per acre, the yield decreases by 4 bushels per tree. How many trees should be planted per acre to maximize the yield? What is the total yield?

Philip,
I'm glad you put in all the terminology that I left out. This should clear up any confusion the student may have, like "what is -b/2a" ?, etc. When I was in high school we used to say cup (minimum) or cap (maximum), but that was many years ago.
