Hi Dawn;
10-6n Ten minus six multiplied by the variable n.
7+2/c Seven plus two divided by the variable c.
15x-12 Fifteen multiplied by the variable x, followed by the subtraction of 12.
y/5+8 The variable y divided by five which is added to eight.
y-95 and evaluate it for y=125 The variable y has the quantity of 95 subtracted from it. As such applies to the quantity of 125, the result is 30.
If john earns $8 per hour how much money would he earn if he works 15,20,25, and 30 hrs in algebraic expression

($8/hour)(15 hours)=$120
($8/hour)(20 hours)=$160
($8/hour)(25 hours)=$200
($8/hour)(30 hours)=$240
Please note that the unit of hours is in the denominator and numerator. It cancels, leaving only the unit of dollars.
($8/hour)(30 hours)=$240
