Working together, it takes two computers

minutes to send out a company's email. If it takes the slower computer

minutes to do the job on its own, how long will it take the faster computer to do the job on its own?

If we call the time we are looking for t, then we look at how much gets done in one hour...

 

1/20 + 1/t = 1/4

1/t = 5/20 - 1/20 = 4/20

1/t = 1/5

t = 5
