Let's start with the end of the question - if they get a fifth person, then everyone will pay one-fifth of $80 for his or her ticket. 80/5=16, so each person would pay $16.
However, the question asks "how much would each person save?". The original ticket cost was $18.50, so we can subtract $16 from $18.50 to find out how much less they would pay with the block of tickets. 18.5-16=2.5, so they would each save $2.50.
