I worked 24.8 hours on a job and would like to know how many minuets is .8 in time worked.

the conversion from decimal to minuets is 60. 1 hours has 60 mins.

 

so you take the .8 *60 = 48 mins

so total 24 hrs and 48 mins.

 

 

for example 1.5 hours

so take .5*60 = 30 mins

to go from hours to minutes, multiply the hours by 60

 

so 2 hours is 120 minutes  2x60=120

 

half hour is 30 minutes   .5 x 60 = 30

 

so you have .8 hours

 

.8 x 60 =48

 

.8 hours is 48 minutes

if you want the total # of minutes for your job, you can just do 24.8 x 60 = 1488 minutes on you job total
