If a triangle has a right angle, then we have a right triangle. The Pythagorean theorem can be used here to find the length of the third side. The two sides are given, and the third side is the hypotenuse.
Let x = the third side
22 + (√3)2 = x2
4 + (√3) (√3) = x2
4 + 3 = x2
7 = x2
√7 = x
The third sides is √7.
