Raising a bilingual child, fluent in Arabic and English (at least), has always been our long term goal. We are originally from Saudi Arabia; Arabic is our first tongue, and I myself have been in the profession of a college-level teaching of Arabic language and literature for almost nine years. Since we came to the U.S. in 2010, Yzeed grew up as a bilingual child; Arabic dialect at home and English at school.

On a practical note, Reem is always on time for our lessons and is very communicative by email. I know she is highly recommended for students who are looking to improve their formal Arabic, but if you are looking for someone who can help you with colloquial Levantine (Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian, Jordanian) Arabic, she is the tutor for you. I can definitely see my Arabic improving and I can't wait to show off my skills to my in-law for our wedding in December!

During one particular lesson, she searched for and found an Arabic cookbook to show me pictures and recipes of Arabic foods, which I had never been able to visualize previously. The lesson could have proceeded without me seeing what the food looked like, but she actually cared that I had knowledge about Arabic beyond simple grammatical concepts. Overall, after being taught by several different college professors, Reem, in my opinion, is one of the best Arabic instructors I have had.
