Hi! I'm India! I graduated from Baylor University with a BS in Forensic Science/pre-medicine and a minor Chemistry. Attention to detail, organization, teamwork, and communication were some skills that I obtained and nurtured throughout my 12+ year career as a forensic DNA analyst. As a training coordinator, I was responsible for organizing, executing, and maintaining the forensic biology training program while serving as a leader and mentor to my trainees and fellow analysts. My responsibilities included creating training plans, schedules, practice sets, exams, and performing lectures, and ensuring the program and trainees met applicable standards. As a bench analyst, I processed evidence samples for the presence of DNA using traditional, manual, and automated methods. My coursework background includes molecular genetics, biochemistry, genetics, statistics, human anatomy and physiology, and forensic science-relate courses.
I am an MBA candidate with Sales and Business Development and Project Management concentrations. Outside of work and school, I serve as a StemNoire Research Chair and a member of the Girls Advocacy League (Girl Empowerment Network). These volunteer roles have undoubtedly contributed to my personal and professional growth and have provided outstanding opportunities for networking and learning more about fundraising and event planning.
