Hi, my name is Faraz, and I would love to be your tutor! I grew up in Mississippi and attended high school there. Ever since I graduated from high school I wanted to come to Texas. When I was 19, I packed up and did. I worked in Texas for a while so that I could get my instate residency and then attended college at Texas Tech University. At Texas Tech, I majored in Chemistry with a minor in computer science. I took quite a few math courses as well as some engineering courses. After TTU, I moved back to Houston and started working in various industries as a chemist and enjoyed it.

I understand my rate may not be for everyone, but I do provide excellent service especially in chemistry and math. I have students who thought they would never be good in math or science and now they are scoring high A's to high B's when they were C students in math and science prior. I don't just show you how to do the problem, I try to help you or your child understand the subject so you can use that information and become independent of me or any other tutor.

I currently have VIRTUS certification that is valid until 10/2021 as well.

I briefly taught at the University of Houston as a TA and this is how I discovered I really enjoy teaching. While at UH, I taught chemistry lab, but I also worked with students on their math and physics courses.

My love for teaching now has brought me here to WyzAnt where I am hoping to find students for whom I can explain in easier terms what they are having problems in. My schedule is open. I work around your time. I can tutor from early mornings to late at night (about 10 pm). I can meet you where you feel comfortable whether it be at your home, a coffee shop, a bookstore, or even a library. I am a native English speaker and am extremely patient and will take my time to make sure you understand the concepts you are having problems with. If you are looking for a tutor to teach your kids, yourself, or even another family member, please write me.

I tutor on your time. Tutoring is a full time thing for me. This is what I do and the only thing I do. I would love to have you as a student on YOUR time not MINE. You tell me when it is convenient for you. I tutor mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights and weekends as well. I WORK ALL 7 DAYS and CAN MEET YOU ANYTIME YOU WISH EVEN LATE!

Below I have added a bit of my experience:

I have tutored a student at Cinco Ranch High School in Katy TX. He was not doing very well (He had a D average) in AP Calculus AB. His mother emailed and asked me for help. I helped him get up to a B and a 4 out of 5 on the AP Calculus exam. I taught him basic test taking skills. He and his mother were very happy with the results. He was my first student.

I have taught students at Cy Fair ISD as well as Katy ISD. I have had many students from Taylor, Seven Lakes, and Cinco Ranch.

I have students that I tutor from Kincaid High School and Junior High, a very nice private school in Houston.

I currently have students who attend Second Baptist School. I am tutoring algebra and they are doing well in the subject.

Along with high school students I have tutored many college level students who attend HCC, LSC, UH and as well as the Texas Tech students who visit Houston in the summer and take summer classes at Lone Star, HCC, or UH.
