Greetings and Salutations! My name is Erroll L. F. I am a former Parole Officer/Administrator for the State of Texas. I was attempting to teach in this profession in excess of twenty (20) years. Greetings and Salutations! My name is Erroll L. F. I am a former Parole Officer/Administrator for the State of Texas. I was attempting to teach in this profession in excess of twenty (20) years. Unbeknownst to me (but not my mother), I did not realize my passion and zeal for teaching! My pedagogical experience includes opportunities serving as teacher/tutor/mentor in Sunday school, school(s), and church camp (United Methodist).

I have been teaching in a formal capacity for the past fourteen years. Initially, I served as a long-term substitute in the Channelview School District. I currently teach in an elementary setting within the Houston Independent School District. I am certified as a Special Education Teacher, Early Childhood through grade twelve. I teach Reading, English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

While the Houston ISD emphasizes continued training in all disciplines, I have received extensive training in the practices of Basic Language Skills, Advanced Language Skills, as well as Dyslexia. This training was delivered by the Neuhaus Education Center.

I am an opportunist! I discover the circumstances of my purpose for you! I am an educator! I enhance your knowledge, skill, and character! I am a learner! We will acquire knowledge by way of enthusiasm, habit, and attitude! I am a Boomerang Teacher! I release knowledge and you grab/grasp it! We do it Together!

I work diligently to discover and unleash the learning style(s) that best ignites a student's "AAHH", "A-HA", "I GOT IT" moment. I am only successful when you, the learner allow me to: engage you; motivate you; train you; and teach you.

I look forward to making lasting connections. More importantly, I look forward to slinging the boomerang with you and yours. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Respectfully,

Erroll L. F.

Approved Subjects

ADHD

ADHD

I am a teacher certified in Early Childhood through Grade Twelve (12). During the past eight years of formal teaching, I have received extensive training on providing strategies by which ADD/ADHD learners can excel in their environment. This environment includes but is not limited to: connecting with the learner and her/his needs; tailoring lessons to the learner's strengths; and allowing the learner to explore while learning. These strategies and others provide opportunities for optimum learning.
Criminal Justice

Criminal Justice

I have taught the concept of Criminal Justice within the discipline of Social Studies for the past seven years. I have utilized my expertise as a former criminal justice professional as a basis/backdrop to model and teach social studies. I do so by incorporating the ideals of order and process via civics, economics, government, history, and sociology. I believe these fundamentals serve as a conduit that connect the core subjects of Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science.
Dyslexia

Dyslexia

I am a certified Early Childhood through Grade Twelve (12) Teacher. I provide specialized services to learners who happen to possess special needs in the area of Dyslexia. I have been performing these services for the past seven years. I have received training in the Dyslexia discipline-courtesy of the Neuhaus Education Center. I possess the unique ability to adapt/adjust to my students' challenges. This strategy provides opportunities by which I may discover the specific technique(s) learners effectively respond to. Dyslexic learners thrive in a one-on-one setting whereby I discover her/his interests and adapt those interests into the lesson(s) via the utilization of multiple senses.

I have taught the concept of Phonics for the past seven years. In my former profession as an administrator, I created opportunities whereby I was in a position to model and teach clients as well as employees the proper fundamentals of reading, speaking, and writing. The precursor to excellent reading, speaking, and writing is Phonics. I believe phonics (or the lack thereof) is a main cause of many students' learning challenges. I have received extensive training in this discipline. It was extended via the courtesy of the Neuhaus Education Center.

Knowledgeable and Patient

Errol is working with my grandson, Xavier. In my grandson's own words, "He is very nice and he is patient." Xavier is relaxed and is able to increase his knowledge base with Error as his tutor. Who can learn when the student is afraid of the instructor? I highly recommend this tutor (Erroll) for any of your tutoring needs.
