I have served as an Adjunct LVN and Medical Assisting Instructor at the collegiate level in 2012, alongside holding a RN degree and a PhD in Counseling. With over 20 years of nursing experience, I have worked across various units in acute care settings, including ICU, IMCU, Telemetry, Medical Surgical, Nursery I & II, Rehabilitation, Women’s Health, Emergency Department, ED Overflow, 23-hour Observation, and Preoperative/PACU. My career has included leadership roles at the executive level (C-Level).

Currently, I am the Founder and CEO of CBC Medical Staffing, and I was honored to be recognized 2023 CEO of the Year, 2023 Non-Profit of the Year, 2023 Women of the World Receipeint, 2022 President Joe Biden & Madam VP Lifetime Achievement Award, 2022 WBENC WeThrive Graduate, 2022 Greater Houston Black Chamber Resurgence Graduate, 2022 Houston Business Journal Diversity in Business, and 2021 Houston Business Journal Women Who Mean Business.

My expertise in nursing during the pandemic has led to interviews with notable media outlets such as Inside Edition, the Houston Chronicle, KPRC, KTRK, Fox 26, and Telemundo.

I have experience in Occupational Health Medicine within large Oil & Gas companies, providing services such as Travel Medicine, FMLA assessments, and Fitness to Work/Return to Work evaluations.

My strengths include Med/Surg, Critical Care, pharmacology, math and dosage calculations, cardiac care, gastrointestinal health, pathophysiology, and effective note-taking and test preparation skills. I am committed to fostering a learning environment where students can deeply engage with the material, moving beyond memorization to ensure concepts are truly understood and retained. Past students have consistently attested to the effectiveness of my teaching approach, highlighting their ability to grasp complex concepts in a brief time frame.
