About Emily

Bio

I recently graduated from the M. Ed in Counseling program at the University of Houston, with a 3.95 GPA. I majored in Psychology and Sociology, and minored in Women's and Gender Studies in undergraduate, graduated with a 3.80 GPA. My goal is to become a Licensed Professional Counselor because I enjoy working one-on-one with students and clients. I believe that my counseling skills will benefit me as a tutor. Furthermore, I also speak and write fluent English, Mandarin, and Malay.

I emphasize on exploring creative and different ways of learning that best fit individual learner. The most rewarding part of tutoring for me is to see students make baby steps towards their goal and be proud of their accomplishment!

Smart and Quick Study

This is a sociology class and a little new to Emily, She read the assignments and essays right on line with me; Emily is a patient teacher and a very quick study, she helped me get started and then engage in conversations about the readings!
