Hey there and welcome to my profile! My name is Ashwin and I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with my Bachelor of Arts in Government and minor in Business and have worked in a variety of industries since then from financial services, sales operations, and project management. I'm currently a full-time graduate student working on my Masters in Management Information Systems at The University of Houston and decided to pick up tutoring on the side as a way to help students achieve their academic goals and be a small part of their success.

I have experience tutoring high school students virtually in Algebra, Geometry, and essay writing and always focus on making sure the right questions are being asked and that there's a comfortable level of understanding especially for the student. Being in a work environment and interacting with customers, I've always made sure to be patient, composed, and communicate in a way that's most appropriate for their needs and this is the same approach that I've had as a tutor. I also encourage students to try working on concepts independently and repeatedly once they're taught something new as a way to boost their confidence. This is the best way for the student and myself to ensure that any concept they might've been struggling with is more clear and they feel like the help they received drastically improved their overall performance.
