The best Chemistry/Physics/Math tutor, bar none.
William, 7 lessons with DavidI've been through undergad, a masters program, and now onto medical school and I've never had a teacher/tutor that could break down chemistry and physics as simply, clearly, and friendly as David can. Physics and Chem have always been my weak points, and David has been able to break down concepts so simply, and share cool tips and tricks to use for the future. I cant tell you how many times I wished he was my actual professor. One night while working on some physics prep, I mentioned out of...
It is my passion to help students surprise themselves by mastering material that they did not think that they could, to make "scary" subjects manageable if not outright fun. I seek to help students understand the material at a deeper level through asking a lot of questions and building a framework on analogies and prior knowledge.
My educational background includes an undergraduate degree in zoology from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a secondary composite science teaching...

very knowledgeable and great at explaining
I had a physics lesson with David and he was able to explain everything in a very clear and intuitive way. He also caught all the mistakes I originally made. Highly recommend!

Knowledgeable tutor that is great at explaining subject to students
David is teaching my son basics of physics in such a way that he is engaged and doing well in the class. My son is motivated to learn subject and do well, after dropping out of physics a year and a half ago.

Excellent Tutor - We Strongly Recommend David!
We hired David to help our son with AP Physics after our son's school cut his distance learning instruction time to a minimum due to unanticipated Covid-19 issues. Our son really likes David and finds his teaching style very clear and easy to understand (as easy as AP Physics can be, I suppose.) We really like David because he is very responsive to questions and is very fair and accommodating to our requests. I highly recommend David if your child (or you) need a physics tutor - we are very glad we found him!

Excellent Tutor
David S. was very helpful in working with me to review for an upcoming exam. He explained everything clearly in a way that I could understand, remember, and apply. I will definitely use him again.

Extremely knowledgable and excellent at explaining material
David was instrumental in helping me prepare for my SAT Physics Subject Test. Not only was David one of the few tutors that I found with experience concerning the Physics subject test, he was also incredible about explaining material in a way that made perfect sense. In addition to him having in-depth knowledge about almost every topic I asked him about, he was also able to immediately launch into its explanation after I asked. It's thanks to David that I have a fighting chance at a good score on the SAT Physics subject test.

Great at explaining
David did a great job explaining key concepts. David clearly explained concepts that my daughter struggled within 5 minutes of the session that her previous tutor couldn't explain in 90 minutes. We will continue to have David as her physics tutor.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor
David’s approach was perfect! We couldn’t ask for more. He was patient and positive as he helped my child process each equation and build confidence. When she was off base he gently nudged her back on track!

Managed to pass! Thank you, David!
Physics, or moreover college physics was difficult for me, especially if it’s a summer class, and every three chapters or so is shoveled down within a mere week with just brief explanations due to time constraints (bonus if you haven’t seen Physics for 4+ years). I needed this course as a pre-req for a class in my degree plan, and thank you to David who has helped me understand just how fun Physics can actually be. If I were able to give more stars beyond 5/5 I would. Thank you again!
