Over my career I have provided many quality video, audio, web, print, and multimedia solutions to a variety of clients. I have designed and built several corporate TV studios and am familiar with the latest in studio and video technology, computer equipment, and software suites. One of the things I've enjoyed most in my career is training other associates in the use of the studio equipment and software programs. I have been most comfortable in one-on-one training but have also trained smaller groups up to 15 students. I'm experienced with most video and audio editing software suites including the Adobe Production Suite. I'm also very experienced with the Windows operating system environment, and the Microsoft office suite.
I am an upbeat energetic individual and believe most people would describe me as being an easy-going, patient, and knowledgeable tutor. Below is a quote from someone I mentored and work with:
“Peter is a visionary who creates more than just video, he creates an experience. I worked with Peter for several years and he taught me all about the production and editing processes. He is a patient teacher who inspires others to do their best work. Peter is a talented professional who will ensure that any project he works on is completed on time, within budget, and exceeds all expectations.”

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have 10+ years experience working with and teaching Photoshop. Whether it's as simple as cropping or color correcting an image, or something more advanced like working with Masks, Channels or the Bezier tool, I have the experience and skills to teach it to you.
I began desktop publishing many years ago with WordPerfect and CorelDRAW. The software has changed many times since those days, but the concepts remain fairly consistent. I am proficient in Microsoft Publisher, Word, Adobe InDesign, and Quark. I can help with the concepts needed to produce printed pieces or online documents.
I have worked with computers for over two decades both personally and professionally -- from setting up my, my friends', and family members' individual computers to small offices and several corporate TV studios. These days a computer could be your phone, tablet, laptop or desktop, and I can teach you the best practices and how to use them.
I first introduced PowerPoint to a major retailer here in the Northwest many years ago and am considered a pioneer with the software. Since then I've taught classes and helped users learn how to design and produce PowerPoint presentations one-on-one. Whether you need to design a PowerPoint template, set up a presentation with streaming audio or video, or perhaps just want to create a simple slideshow, I can teach and show you how.
My experience with Microsoft Windows began almost two decades ago with Windows 3.1. Things have sure changed since way back then and I have kept up with Windows in every iteration since. I have experience providing support to groups in the corporate environment as well as for the individual.
Microsoft Word is a staple in my computer software toolbox. I have been using a computer word processor for nearly 2 decades. MS Word is one of the most common word processors used in corporate business. Whether it's a letter, flyer, set of business cards, or perhaps a recipe MS Word can make your printing job much easier and I'm here to help you learn how to use it. I can show you how to insert photos, make templates for your most common used projects, macros to automate tasks, how to setup your printer preferences to ensure your job is printed correctly and everything in between.
Networking computers has sure come a long ways from the beginnings. Today's operating systems make the process much simpler but it still can be a daunting task to many. I started many years ago networking two desktop PC’s in my bedroom and have grown my skills to include networking small business offices and several corporate TV studios including Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and Wireless Local Area Networks(WLAN). If you want to learn how to set up a basic home network or small office network environment I'd be happy to show you how this is done and then how to maintain your network once it's up and running.
I have a bachelor’s degree from ITT Technical Institute where I was first exposed to the studio environment. Since then I've managed, designed, and built several corporate TV studios. I have worked in the field as an editor, director, technical director, audio technician, camera operator, lighting technician and video production trainer. My experience spans both in studio green screen productions as well as field productions. I have worked with and taught the Adobe Production Suite and other common video and audio software.
