Dear Students and Parents,
My name is Nidhi, and I’m a Ph.D.-trained biochemist with over a decade of experience in research and education. I currently serve as a Science Educator at a 2e (twice-exceptional) school, where I design and teach NGSS-aligned curricula in life and physical sciences. I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style using a mix of verbal explanations, visual aids, videos, quizzes, and hands-on experiments. I strongly believe in “meeting students where they are” by tailoring instruction to their strengths and reinforcing concepts through multiple modalities. For students who need extra support, I provide one-on-one tutoring to help build confidence and mastery.
Before teaching, I worked as a scientist at Pfizer and Ancera, where I led molecular biology projects involving genetics, microbiology, and data analysis. This strong scientific foundation allows me to help students not just memorize facts but truly understand how concepts connect across biology, chemistry, and biotechnology. Over the past year, I’ve taught middle- and high-school students (including many with learning differences) using inquiry-based, visual, and hands-on approaches to make complex topics engaging and accessible.
My tutoring style is patient, structured, and adaptable. I begin by assessing each student’s strengths and challenges, then design customized lessons that blend explanation, problem-solving, and application. Whether we’re breaking down genetics problems, preparing for AP Biology, or reviewing lab-based concepts, my goal is to build confidence and curiosity. I use real-world examples from my scientific background to make learning relevant and memorable. Most importantly, I encourage students to ask questions and think critically so they become independent learners who enjoy science.
I look forward to helping you reach your academic goals and discover the joy of learning through curiosity and exploration.
Warm regards,
Dr. Nidhi V
