The tutor may have to consciously strive to develop a good rapport with the student within this environment. My students knows they have undivided attention with numerous proven techniques and lessons designed just for their individual goals. I can quickly get to know their strengths and weaknesses and work through these strengths to improve performance. With this knowledge of progress, using positive feedback, students feel good about their accomplishments as we progress to the next level. Because of my own education and years of experience I understand and have empathy with often common problems. I will honestly and consistently communicate the agenda, for our session. But that said, it doesn’t mean we can’t share a sense of humor and have fun learning too!
