Hi, I would LOVE the opportunity to work with your child! I am passionate about education and the importance of children developing a life long love of learning and the ability to learn independently. I recently retired from a 30 year teaching career in the Pike's Peak Region. I taught mostly primary students, but have experience through 6th grade. Most of those years were spent in the classroom where I was responsible for teaching all the core curriculum. I have also spent many hours on the other side of the desk as a student refining my craft across the curriculum and learning strategies to improve the learning of individual students.
You will find me extremely reliable and dedicated. I will work hard to get to know your child as an individual and as a learner and am more than willing to modify my strategies to better meet their needs. I will use methods that make learning fun and engaging while having high expectations. I will share my own learning experiences and interests with your child. I look forward to sharing my passion with your child and learning from them.

Beth did a great job at assessing my son's reading strengths and weaknesses. She now has a game plan to work with. My son enjoys her pleasant and patient demeanor.
Beth is always on time and very patient with my struggling reader. She is always prepared and my son looks forward to her visits. I'm confident with her help we will get him caught up!
My daughter had been getting help from Ms. Beth for several months now for her spelling and the improvement is amazing. She is patient, knowledgeable, and an excellent asset to my daughter's education. I cannot recommend her enough!
Beth has been working with our son for the last 10 months. I cannot say enough good things about her. She is patient, kind, and very experienced. Our son has grown so much as a result of her instruction.
Beth was patient and knowledgeable. My son responded well to her. He usually has a problem focusing but Beth was able to keep him involved and focused. It was great and I look forward to our future sessions.
Since working with Beth my son has become more confident with his reading skills and very eager to learn. She motivates and encourages him each week with activities that he enjoys. We have seen such an improvement and are very pleased.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
