My thirteen year old son had his first piano lesson (ever) last evening with Griffin B. (Basically, my son was familiar with middle C. He had never played piano before, but we had recently inherited a piano, and he expressed some interest in learning to play). During last night's lesson, Griffin patiently encouraged my son to familiarize himself with the keyboard, explaining notes, keys, even basic chords, in a way that was upbeat, patient, and fully engaged.
Diane has been giving me weekly piano lessons at her home for a few months. I am 33 years old and I want to learn piano out of interest. I started as a complete beginner and she has been very patient with me. Her piano is nice and she helped me choose a good keyboard so I can practice at home. Diane focuses on proper technique and she is very good at showing what to do. Her rates are reasonable and I highly recommend Diane to anyone who wants to learn to play piano.

Matthew is an incredibly patient and highly skilled piano instructor. It is extremely difficult trying to locate piano teachers who are able to teach both jazz and classical piano. Matthew is able to guide his students by showing them the voicing selections that would be most suitable when playing and/or arranging jazz charts. Students trying to achieve a professional sound will find their skills improving under his astute instruction.
