Starting something new or figuring out how to take it to the next level can be difficult to identify. I am a native English speaker, raised by an American mother, and attended a British High School. My English is as varied as it can get, which gives me large versatility with my speech. I received IGCSE and IB for Language and Literature in English. I have a degree in Music Production from Berklee College of Music.
¡Soy un parlante nativo! I lived in Mexico City for 18 years and was raised by a Mexican father. I have received IGCSE and IB certificates for Language and Literature in Spanish.
A little about me: I am a Mexican/American raised in Mexico City, Mexico, where I attended a British International School and later moved to the United States to pursue my musical dreams. From a young age, I was exposed to so much of the world, that it became my school. I find interest mostly in people and their experiences and it helps me understand everything around us. I'd love to get to know you, talk about our passions and curiosities. I will adjust my schedule so that we can work together!
Extremely knowledgeable and patient
Michael not only knows everything I could possibly need to know about Logic Pro, as well as the the new music sounds plug-in I bought, but also he's savvy in Sibelius, and a composer himself, which is the perfect combination for me! Along with that, he's really patient and kind, and is great at explaining things and breaking things down. I highly recommend!!Jennifer, 10 lessons with Michael
We went over rhythm and melody during my first lesson. Michael was able to break down great songs into simple and digestible concepts for me and I always love when people can do that. He is so laid back and made it very easy for me to feel comfortable. It is also very obvious that he knows what he is talking about. I am really looking forward to out next lesson, I haven’t been excited about music like this in a long time!Kuntal, 7 lessons with Michael

We did Hanon 1-6 , and #50 before we proceed to " spring from the four season" by Vivaldi and " "Minuet" by Bach! I'm enjoying every class with him and I'm glad to have him as my teacher ! I learned to have a better listening skill and play better now.Shiehern, 10 lessons with Michael
Knowledgeable & Patience Tutor!
Today is my first time doing online piano lesson. Michael is very experience and patient. We learned to play Hanon 1,2, and 3 and he noticed my hand location and able to point that out. We also played Czerny no. 1 and he noticed about octavas which I totally forget ( I played piano from age 9-15) and stopped to focus on academic studies. I glad I found Michael and looking forward for our next class. My 32 months daughter decided to join us in class and Michael being very patience in teaching me.Shiehern, 10 lessons with Michael
Wonderful and organized class
Loved my first lesson with Michael! I especially appreciated how organized the lesson was and learning some things I didn’t expect (brief history of the guitar- ancestor of the lute!) very engaging and I’m excited to continue learning with him! The notes in the google document are a great tool for practicing. He asked a series of questions to get clear on my goals and the lesson was very conscious of that. 10/10!Sky, 12 lessons with Michael

Michael is fun and adaptable
Michael is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to music production which is exactly what I was hoping for going into these lessons. He has an established and consistent process/lesson plan and is also happy to answer questions outside the topic or lesson for the day, which is very useful to me as a musician trying to learn a lot of different aspects of the industry. Very resourceful and friendly and kind. Very happy I was able to connect with him as a teacher.Amanda, 12 lessons with Michael
