I am a recent graduate of Texas A&M University. I received a B.A. in Communications where my coursework included heavy reading, interpreting/analyzing and writing over political and religious rhetoric, psychology, history, and the influence of the media. I minored in Anthropology and was a few hours short of having a minor in French.
During college, I had several opportunities to travel abroad, including spending a summer in Tokyo, Japan. I was also a leader in extracurricular organizations such as Film Society and Campus Crusade for Christ.
After college, I started tutoring in Houston. I tutored kids ages 8 to 17 that are in the top private schools in Houston. Most of my students needed extra help in elementary math through algebra. I also worked with the older students in English with writing papers and completing projects.
I am a very patient teacher. I like to ask a lot of questions and guide the student in the right direction. I have fun during tutoring sessions, but I also like to get down to business and accomplish goals. My strengths are in English, math and writing.
