About Nadeene

Bio

My name is Nadeene and I've always enjoyed math and science. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring students and demystifying these sometimes intimidating subjects.

I volunteered as a science facilitator for many years with a non-profit organization, teaching students (grades 2-6) various science concepts through experimentation as well as aiding in the creation and execution of city-wide science fair projects. I've also taught science courses at the college level (e.g., Intro Biology, Genetics)....

I've also taught science courses at the college level (e.g., Intro Biology, Genetics). In addition to teaching science, I have tutored students on reading and math skills. I have a bachelor's degree in Biology and a doctorate degree in Microbiology. I'm also proficient in the Microsoft suite (e.g., Excel, Powerpoint) and Google products (e.g., Spreadsheet, Slides). Lastly, I'm an avid crafter with 20+ years of crocheting experience.

I'm a very patient person and would happy to help you gain a better understanding of your subject of interest.

Sewing

Sewing

I learned to crochet as a child (over 35 years ago). Over the years, I've taken various classes and enjoy creating handmade, crocheted gifts for close family and friends. My specialty is creating baby blankets. My most complex blanket was of a train and each car has a letter of the alphabet. In addition to crocheting, I also enjoy teaching others how to crochet.
