My name is Ryan. I am a Georgetown School of Medicine graduate, Fulbright Scholar alumnus, and incoming physician in the Department of Surgery at UPMC. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tulane University with degrees in Molecular Biology, History, and Spanish.

I have over a decade of experience teaching and developing curricula across high school, college, and graduate levels, including direct instruction in medical school coursework. My background spans both one-on-one tutoring and structured academic teaching, with a consistent focus on helping high-achieving students succeed in competitive academic and professional pathways.

I specialize in General Chemistry, Biology, Physiology, Mathematics, standardized test preparation (SAT/ACT/MCAT), and college and medical school application strategy and writing. My approach is rigorous, diagnostic, and highly individualized: I quickly identify gaps, rebuild foundational understanding, and train students in efficient, exam-focused problem solving.

I work selectively with a small number of students to ensure depth, consistency, and measurable improvement. Sessions are structured and goal-oriented, designed to translate directly into higher grades, stronger test scores, and, most importantly, increased self-confidence.

I prepare extensively ahead of time for sessions and only ask that students come ready to learn, grow, and be challenged.
