Within weeks, we saw a huge improvement. My next parent teacher conference, my daughter received At Benchmark grades and was not going to be tested for IEP classes. I was so impressed with the progress, I decided to start up lessons for my second grader who was having troubles with math. Once again, the same great results. We have decided to continue through the summer break months with a lesson plan based on their next grade level. To say the least, I'm grateful we chose Laurel.
The transformation from a struggling, distracted, and frustrated student to one who regularly make honor roll and was recently awarded 8th grade student of the month at his school is nothing short of amazing! The energy and dedication that Robert gives to our son, who is on an IEP has given him a confidence in test-taking and essay writing as well as math that we despaired of him every having. Robert always takes time to ask how our son is doing and what is going on with school, even outside of homework.

I'm writing this review for my son. He is a junior in high school and has an IEP. In addition to needing much help and support for comprehension and processing issues, he struggles socially and has anxiety. Well, Jim was not only able to help him tackle the very difficult college prep biology course, but he also instilled a great deal of self-confidence boost and encouragement. My son grew to be quite comfortable and relaxed with Jim. They are both quirky guys in different ways and it worked for them!
