asked 02/02/23Violin Lessons for older person
I'm 72 yrs. Plade piano since 10 yrs and started violin 4 yrs ago but needed to put on back burner. My fingers have slight curvature from arthritis but no pain. Can read music. Want to learn violin so badly. Is there a way to adjust playing. Can you help me accomplish my dream?

Hello Carolyn,
While your situation is quite dire, there is still potential for you to learn the violin. In fact there are many people that play the violin with physical disabilities, one famous one you probably know is Itzhak Perlman! But of course your problem is with your fingers. I believe doing finger exercises and seeing a professional massage therapist may help. Here is a motivational link below, a truly incredible feat of violin mastery...

It depends on how bad it is and which finger. Playing the Violin(regularly) actually will help with dexterity and mobility.
