Violin/Viola Teacher
Finding a teacher that works for you can be tricky! I am a firm believer in the idea that teachers are not only the people who mentor you, but who advocate for you as well. A good teacher will advocate for you by helping you build the confidence you need to present your best self, as well as by explaining the necessary skills and techniques you need to create a beautiful sound and develop a mastery over your instrument. Personality is also an important factor! A teacher can be a great musician and also be very good at explaining things, but if their attitude is poor or they're not enthusiastic about teaching you, they won't be the best option for you! Sometimes you do need to search around and have trial lessons before you find a teacher that works for you, but the end result is so worth it!
