Simple phrases to learn starting out

Good day everyone! So, at my place of employment, there is a woman who comes in every morning to get a smoothie. I know her smoothie from memory now, so she doesnt need to tell me. She's is deaf though, and I would like to ask her her name, tell her thank you and have a good day, things like that. I was wondering if there were any other simple phrases I can learn as well that would help. I dont have enough time in my life currently to dedicate to fully learning asl, but Id like to learn enough to talk to this customer. Thanks!

Saying, "How are you" is a big one that typically gets a one word response so it isn't over whelming for you to understand :)

Make two thumbs up and put them together.and twist the right one down. Thats HOW. and then point to the customer. How-Are-You. But make sure your eye brows are up to show that you are asking a question so its clear what you are doing.

Same thing with asking "Are you having a good day?" You can sign "Good Day" while raising your eyebrows.
