I haven't found any software better for publishing than Adobe InDesign. For the beginner, you can choose to open a template and simply add text and graphics. When ready, you can send to print or export to PDF (Portable Document Format). In addition to print, Adobe InDesign supports everything from ePub to online (HTML5). For the power user, the API (Application Programming Interface) is open to AppleScript (Macintosh), ExtendScript (JavaScript), and UXPScript). If you want to impress, the control Adobe InDesign gives the user for pure design aesthetics is without compare. Pair all of this with the right Wyzant tutor, you may end up wanting you to do much more than just a newsletter.
I would like to publish a monthly small community Newsletter. What is the best Desktop Publishing software for a Mac Computer that will require the least amount of time to use?

I like to use Swift Publisher for Mac. Swift Publisher has several templates for a newsletter that you can begin with as an example or just replace the placeholder text with your own content. It has some nice features without being too complicated for beginners.
