In Genesis 6:4 what is the translation for the word "Nephilim"?

Is there any legitimate reason why it would have been translated as "giants" or is the meaning extremely clear to mean something else?

Hi,

I believe that the original translation of "nephillim" is "who came from the sky" because the verb "nephil" means to be dropped. so those who were dropped from the sky. However, in hebrew we can use the word as a syllogism for people who are extremely big, or giants.
