Signs I don’t recognize in my ASL class?

My ASL professor used two signs today pretty frequently and I’m not sure which either of them are. The class today was about deaf culture and basically beginning ASL. The first sign was a (he’s left handed) upturned flat right hand, and his left hand (hard to describe, i’m sorry) did the same motion your hand does on your chest when you sign the color white. Like grabbing sorta with extended fingers off the right palm? The second sign was him holding his right arm out, and putting the side of his left hand on his forearm and then the same with his bicep. Sorry if I did a bad job. Will try to clarify more.
